Off topic but important

Hi, I participated in the HP touchpad madness this past week

I have a

16GB for my wife

and a

32gb for myself

total output of $250 with tax ( yeah I got some deals)

I have been spending time Tweaking them and patching them

( Go to Pre Central for support)


OK the CEO of HP

What in the heck are thinking?

He's loosing Billions on this

His plan:

Dump Touch Pads
Sell off PC division

Printers? Are they gone too? Some are the best in the world!


He wants to do "Software only"

Uh Microsoft is Software only and as big as they are they are now behind Apple

It seems to me the Touchpad was the right direction

the ones I have are pretty good and are 80% of an Ipad, with just a little effort they could be a true Ipad equal but

a Multi Billion dollar company run by a CEO who hates Hardware

Puts out an unfinished and unpolished product then the big plan is to take WebOS ( part of the unfinished product) and make Billions like Apple off of it?

Can you say "Fantasy"?

I think HP is in a night mare called "Leo Apotheker" he has no real vision IMHO and I hope the Board at HP see's this

I for one will not buying a HP computer in the future in the light they may sell off the division or all of sudden on a Friday announce its being dumped.
